Cocktail Party to Remain in Jacksonville

I had two possible themes set up for either outcome of today's meeting of the UGA Athletic Board.

If choice had been made today to move the game out of Jacksonville, it would have gone something like this:
"Imagine how bad it will suck when they kick our ass in Athens too."

Instead, given the decision to keep the game where it is, I'm just going with the following:
"Hey Coach, just figure out a way to get the job done. No excuses. Thanks, Damon"

This is a good day for the UGA football program, and this might be Damon's greatest achievement to date.

Completely agree. Playing in JAX has nothing to do with our losses over the last 20 years. I am encouraged to read that it was a unanimous vote by the Board to keep the WLOCP in Jacksonville. CMR and Damon Evans need to focus their efforts on the SEC sheduling office and getting an off week the Saturday before we play FL. Or at least keep the Gators from getting that crucial bye week every year before they play us.

Well, thank goodness for that. I had the misfortune of being in Athens the last time the Gators came to town and we saw how well that worked out. Plus, it's the Cocktail Party and it's supposed to be in J'ville. Good news.
