Countdown to UGA-OSU: 6 Days (#6 Logan Gray)

#6 Logan Gray, QB
6-2, 195, Columbia MO (Rock Bridge HS), RS Soph.

Gray was one of the top quarterback prospects in America when he committed to UGA prior to the 2007 season. After a redshirt in 2007, Gray saw action in every game in 2008, though not where many might have expected when he first arrived. He was UGA's designated short field punt returner (as well as a gunner on kickoffs), and actually returned 6 punts for 72 yards on the year. He was named Special Teams Newcomer of the Year for the season. He would play some quarterback in mop-up situations, but still hasn't thrown a pass in his UGA career.

Depth Chart Analysis: Gray's days of playing special teams are likely over, as he's now the likely #2 quarterback behind Joe Cox. There are rumors out there that he might be used in some special situations on offense, maybe something similar to the Wildcat due to his unique dual-threat skills. We've heard rumors like this before, so who knows what will actually end up happening. But keep an eye on how #6 is used this season.

Other famous #6s in UGA history: P Mike Garrett, P Cris Carpenter, RB Patrick Pass, S Sean Jones
