Countdown to UGA-OSU: 70 Days (#70 A.J. Harmon)

#70 A.J. Harmon, OL
6-5, 310, Louisville GA (Jefferson County HS), RS Freshman

Harmon was one of the more highly touted recruits to come to Athens in the 2008 signing class, picking the Dawgs over Clemson (where he had previously been committed for a long time.) There were many questions about which side of the ball he'd play on when he first arrived. He made no secret that he preferred defensive tackle, but it was widely known that the UGA coaches wouldn't let him play defense unless he got his weight down. He did come in at a good weight and worked out most of his redshirt season on defense. Late in the year he was moved to offensive line and worked out at both tackle and guard on the left side.

Depth Chart Analysis: Harmon will be hard to keep off the field this year. He's progressed quite nicely since moving to offensive line, and should be able to stay in the two-deep at either guard or tackle (most likely guard.) He's going to be a good one for the Dawgs once he gets himself some consistent playing time.

Other famous #70s in UGA history: OT Ray Rissmiller

I still can't fathom the quality depth we have on the OL. Boy have the times changed.
