Countdown to UGA-OSU: 57 Days (#57 Blair Walsh)

#57 Blair Walsh, PK
5-10, 185, Boca Raton FL (Cardinal Gibbons HS), Soph.

Walsh was one of the most highly recruited kickers of the 2008 class, if not the top-rated kicker overall. He was immediately named the starting kicker in fall camp, and made a quick impact with a 52 yard field goal in the first game of the season vs Georgia Southern. He really had a pretty nice freshman season, connecting on 15 of 23 field goals, and hitting every extra point he attempted. He was named Freshman All-SEC team. Where alot of UGA fans soured on him was with kickoffs, but that certainly wasn't his fault. That should be solved this year with Brandon Bogotay handling the duties. Expect Walsh to continue to improve, and continue the tradition of outstanding UGA place kickers.

Depth Chart Analysis: Walsh is the UGA kicker, although there's a good chance he'll relinquish the kickoff duties (and probably won't be disappointed in that.)

Other famous #57s in UGA history: LB Happy Dicks, LB Mo Lewis, DT Jonathan Sullivan
