Countdown to UGA-OSU: 55 Days (Abry Jones)

Abry Jones, DT
6-3, 275, Warner Robins GA (Northside HS), True Freshman

Born in September of 1991 (when the writer of this entry was entering his sophomore year of high school - but I digress), Jones was widely considered one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia coming out of powerhouse Northside High in Warner Robins. He chose the Dawgs over (among others), Miami, Florida State and Florida. At this point in his career, he might be a little undersized, but he more than makes up for it with tremendous athleticism for a defensive tackle. He'll be another force at tackle for the Dawgs in future seasons.

Depth Chart Analysis: One would believe that Garner will work a true freshman into the rotation this year, and Jones has as good a chance as any of those coming in (Derrick Lott and Kwame Geathers are the other two incoming tackles.) Regardless of what happens this season, we'll see plenty of Jones as an impact player over the next few years.

Famous #55s in UGA history: WR Dan Edwards, WR Bobby Walston, OL Matt Braswell, OL Wayne Radloff, DE Jeremy Lomax
