Countdown to UGA-OSU: 49 Days (#49 Shaun Chapas)

#49 Shaun Chapas, FB
6-2, 235, St Augustine FL (Bolles School), RS Jr.

Chapas did a nice job filling in for Brannon Southerland during his injury spells last season. He certainly proved that he's worthy of being the starting fullback when/if necessary. What surprised me about him was the soft hands and the ability to be used as an offensive weapon. In that regard, he might be Southerland's equal. He probably isn't quite the blocker (yet) that Southerland was, but he's a very capable fullback in the UGA offense.

Depth Chart Analysis: Chapas is the starter at fullback, and it really probably isn't a close competition. The UGA offense will be set up a little differently this season than we've seen the past couple of years, and I expect Chapas to be a big part of that, as the Dawgs look to move the ball down the field in smaller chunks.
