Countdown to UGA-OSU: 46 Days (#46 Justin Fields)

#46 Justin Fields, FB
6-1, 215, Savannah GA (Calvary Baptist), Jr.

Fields has enjoyed a nice ride at UGA, from a walk-on scout team player, to Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year in 2007, to appearances in 10 games (mostly on special teams) in 2008 after being moved from linebacker to fullback. He even got the ball in his hands last season, returning a kickoff 14 yards against Georgia Southern. He did suffer a knee injury against Kentucky toward the end of last season, for which he had surgery in January. That kept him out of spring drills, but he's expected to make a full recovery in time for August practices to begin.

Depth Chart Analysis: Fields should continue to contribute on special teams, but as a fullback he's the clear #3 behind Shaun Chapas and Fred Munzenmaier. He'll definitely see the field this season if he's healthy.

Other famous #46s in UGA history: LB Will Witherspoon, FB Chris McCarthy
