Countdown to UGA-OSU: 40 Days (Reuben Faloughi)

Reuben Faloughi, DE
6-5, 220, Martinez GA (Evans HS), True Freshman

I had to rearrange some players to make room to include this player in the Countdown, given the noise he has been making so far in offseason drills, and looking early into fall camp. Of Nigerian descent, Faloughi was being considered for scholarships by UConn and Vanderbilt, but ultimately took UGA up on its offer as a preferred walk-on. He has excellent grades and is at UGA on the Hope Scholarship. Based on what we've heard so far, he might have an athletic scholarship before we know it. Supposedly he has been giving the first team tackles fits thus far.

Depth Chart Analysis: It is hard to imagine Faloughi seeing time this year given his size, but given the way the defensive ends performed last year, there may be a hint of desperation if things don't improve early this season. If I had to lay money on it, I'd say he gets a redshirt this year. But there's a good possibility he'll be a significant contributor at some point in future seasons.
