Countdown to UGA-OSU: 67 Days (#67 Jonathan Owens)

#67 Jonathan Owens, OG
6-4, 305, Blountsville AL (Susan Moore HS), RS Freshman

Owens signed with UGA over Georgia Tech in 2008, and was considered a "sleeper" on the offensive line. He's a big body with alot of potential, but injuries have hampered his development, and it may be a while still before he sees the field at Sanford Stadium for the Dawgs.

Depth Chart Analysis: Owens suffered a tough knee injury is spring drills, which held him back and probably kept him from making a move up the chart at left guard. He is expected to be ready for the fall, but faces a tough road to get into the rotation. Tanner Strickland's shoulder injury and subsequent surgery that will have him missing 2009 might get Owens a little closer to seeing the field, but given the depth that UGA has along the offensive line, it will be difficult for him. He's probably looking at 2010 before he makes a real push.

Other famous #67s in UGA history: OG Joel Parrish, OG Chester Adams
