Nail In Coffin: Phillip Fulmer Edition

A break in the WLOCP week to show why Fulmer is gone. WOW, I just can't believe this. I pray this never happens between the hedges. This is the proverbial nail in Phillip Fulmer's coffin:

Who would Tennessee look to hire?

I remember only a few weeks ago I was sitting in Sanford Stadium section 304 under a similar serenade of Rammer Jammer. Bama fans sure can sing it loud these days, its like about 20 years of silence all bottled up inside being let go as Bubba from Demopolis belts it like there's no tomorrow.

I think I've heard Bubba from Demopolis on Finebaum a lot lately.

The thing about this video that amazes me is I'm guessing there are 45,000 fans left in Neyland and 30,000+ are Bama.

I noticed that too....there were definitely alot more UGA fans still in the building when Bama was singing it a few weeks back.

You're right though, Hamilton should just show the press that video when they make the Fulmer announcement...save himself some breath.

Plus adding the hatred of that rivalry to the situation.

I won't swear to the fact that it didn't just happen in Sanford. The only way it was different was that there were WAY less Bama fans in Sanford. Which in and of itself says something because A LOT of UT fans sold their tickets to Bama fans.

There were about 20,000 Bama fans in Neyland last weekend, and of course from any home teams perspective that is way too many!!! Is it embarrassing, yes in many ways, but in some ways I think it is a lot of people expressing their feelings and trying to have an impact. I have missed only one game this year, but I have yet to see Neyland at capacity, with the exception of Bama. We even had empty seats against Florida!!! I think that many of us are just ready for a change. We are flat out awful the past four years against ranked teams...i could provide you stats but I do not want to take up too much space.
I, for one, realize that change can be very dangerous. I just would like to see a breath of fresh air...young and enthusiastic or older with a passion to coach. Fulmer just looks like he has lost this team, not to mention the fans. Do not know if you all know this or notm, but he has an 80% disapproval rating according to the KNS. That is painful!!!

Yeah it could go either way...Lord knows it took us a dozen years between Dooley and Richt. Heck, look at Bama and what they went through. But I understand wanting to roll the dice and go ahead and take that chance...I would too if I was a Vol. It does seem stagnant in Knox. Just hope we get to put another 4 or 5 wins in the series before UT turns it around.
