Countdown to UGA-GSU: 22 Days

#22, Richard Samuel, RB
6-1, 205, Cartersville, GA (Cass HS), True Fr.
Samuel comes to Georgia as a 5 star recruit that every team in the country wanted. Picked Georgia over Auburn, Tennessee, Florida and Clemson. His last two seasons at Cass, he scored 43 TD's on offense and at linebacker had 21 TFL's and 5 sacks. Samuel enrolled early at UGA in January at the age of 16. Basically, he is another freak of nature in this incoming class. Could end up a star on either side of the ball at Georgia. I personally want him at LB along side the little ball of hate, but I love defense so pay no attention to that. He is academically driven (made straight A's at Cass and has started strong at UGA) with a very strong work ethic both on the field and in the classroom.
Depth Chart Analysis: Samuel is coming off of his first spring practice where he was named Biggest Offensive Surprise. It is common knowledge around these parts that Georgia is LOADED at tailback, but I will be shocked if Samuel is redshirted. No matter how many carries he gets at TB, he will probably be very active in a lot of special teams this coming fall. He is also getting a look as a kick returner during fall camp.

He is going to form a great tandem with Caleb King for the next few years.

You can forget about defense...
