Countdown to UGA-GSU: 46 Days

#46 Toby Jackson, DE
6-4, 244, Griffin, GA (Griffin HS), Prep School
Jackson chose Georgia over Alabama, Miami, Southern Cal and Auburn. He is another great athlete to come out of Griffin HS. Griffin Head Coach Steve Devoursney was quoted as saying that Toby is better than former Griffin star Jonathan Sullivan at the same stage...that is saying a whole lot, because Sullivan was a STUD from the moment he got on campus in Athens until the day he got paid by the Saints. Jackson will play at Hargrave this fall. Jackson missed the qualifying ACT score by one point. He is the only recruit in the past two classes to not make it academically.
Depth Chart Analysis: Hopefully Jackson will get his grades up and be able to enroll at UGA in January. He follows Sullivan, Charles Grant, Leonard Pope and Danny Ware to name a few who have had to go the Hargrave route. The day he gets on campus he should compete for playing time. In his replacement in jersey #46 this fall looks to be Shorter College transfer walk-on Devin Hollander.

Griffin showing off that academic might!

Something tells me that if he had chosen Southern Cal over us, he would be on campus right now.

Oh well, I hope he is enrolled in Jan.

It was not the Saints' fault that Sullivan ended up being a bust.....just another case of bad luck for the boyz in black and gold. Now, C Grant on the other hand is worshiped down there. Hope this kid comes with some lasting positive motivation to get betwix the hedges.

Agree that the Saints had nothing to do with Sullivan being a bust. Let's just say that he made his money and was no longer motivated. Not the strongest of work ethics.

Sullivan had a fondness for the McDonald's cheeseburger. That much we know. Can't say I blame him to be honest, that thing is tasty.
