Countdown to UGA-GSU: 73 Days

#73 Chris Little, OG
6-6, 330, Jeffersonville GA (Twiggs County HS), RS Freshman
Little pulled the ole' switcheroo on Signing Day in 2007, spurning Notre Dame and Florida State to sign with UGA. At Twiggs County he was actually heavier (342 lbs) than he is now. He stated to Rivals in an interview last year that he was once 370. Little's career at UGA has thus far been plagued by nagging wrist and foot injuries that have severely stunted his development as a player. Still, he remains one of the more impressive looking linemen on the team, and the fact that he reportedly ran a 5.0 flat 40 yard dash while at 340 lbs last year could convince you that he also has a great deal of potential. If he can stay healthy, this should be a player we hear alot from in future seasons.
Depth Chart Analysis: As a guard, Little finds himself way down the depth chart. If he played tackle, he'd probably have a slightly better chance at seeing the field this year (assuming he stayed healthy.) Injuries are going to ultimately seal Little's fate before he leaves Athens. He's a talented lineman who just about anyone in the country would have wanted out of high school. This year, his foot problems are likely to keep him on the sidelines.

All I know is that our O Line will be the deciding factor on whether or not we run the table this year. Watched the re-run of the Alabama game last night...wow, we were blowing them off the line, then our defense was getting blown of the line, however still ended in a big ole' Dawgpile with 7 to 25 down the left hand side....can't wait to see us kick the shit out of bama tween the hedges.
