Countdown to UGA-GSU: 71 Days

Cordy Glenn, OL
6-6, 315, Riverdale GA (Riverdale HS), True Freshman
Glenn committed to UGA in November over offers from Louisville, South Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Auburn and Florida. After waiting on the news on whether or not he'd be academically eligible to come to Athens in 2008, Glenn got the good news in May, and he'll be ready to report with the rest of the incoming class. As a prospect, Rivals rated Glenn the #13 player in the state of Georgia, and the #16 offensive tackle prospect in America. No doubts about his size and potential, but most of the recruiting services described him as "raw." His upside is very, very high.
Depth Chart Analysis: Conventional wisdom says he'll redshirt this year, although given depth issues at tackle (we'll be through the linemen in about 3 weeks, I promise I'll quit talking about this then), it is not out of the realm of possibility that we could see him rushed into spot duty if an unforeseen injury occurs. Alot of that will depend on how quickly he develops. He may be a rock at tackle before he leaves Athens, but it probably won't be this year.

I would appreciate you not discussing the possibility of injuries at this position.

I concur.

I figure if I talk about it enough, there is no way it will happen. The old "reverse psychology" deal. I'll tone it down though.
